A regional high school league needed to schedule a season for 16 basketball teams from different districts, ensuring fair Home/Away games while minimising travel and respecting academic calendars.

Teams were spread across a wide geographical area, leading to long and costly travel, especially for midweek games.

Manually creating schedules often resulted in an uneven distribution of Home/Away games and rest days between teams.

The schedule had to avoid all school holidays and co-play periods, reducing the number of available weekends.

There was a risk of scheduling too many games in a short period, leading to player fatigue and potential injuries.
SchedulOpt® Core generated a clean, fair schedule using automation rules tailored for high school leagues, reducing manual scheduling hours and boosting fairness.
